The AOL Instant Messenger program can be disabled quickly and simply. First, start up the Instant Messenger program (it should be located in Netscape Communicator Programs group). After the program starts, you should see the Instant Messenger sign-on window. Click the Setup button. The Setup window should now appear with a number of tabs located at the top of the window. Click the Misc. tab. Now, locate and uncheck the box labeled Start Netscape AIM when Windows starts. You can now exit the Instant Messenger program. |
