June 15, 1999 Oshkosh, WI. - NorthNet, an Internet Service Provider (ISP), has begun offering local dial-up Internet service in Fond du Lac. "This expansion completes our plan to offer a suite of Internet services throughout the Fox River Valley from Green Bay to Fond du Lac," said Frank Tower, Director of NorthNet. In addition, NorthNet will be able to offer: (1) dedicated Internet service using ISDN, DSL, T1 technology; and (2) Web Design and Web Hosting (3) Internet Consulting throughout its new marketing area. "By using our original business model of superior customer service with real support people when the customer needs them and developing new value-added services, NorthNet will continue to differentiate itself from the national and larger regional Internet providers who use a more impersonal approach," states Bill Buxton, NorthNet's Systems Technician. Buxton cites a recent study that shows one-third of all America's households are on-line and 47% of on-line households have made an Internet purchase over the last six months. As important, the current growth rate of on-line households is running at 40% per annum, which means "more business's and households will discover the value-added and cost saving benefits of the a customer-friendly Internet model." |
